About Me

A freelance writer, editor, researcher and family historian. I Have been online writing for many on-line publications, and writing my own blogs since 1989, and have built many blogs. I specialize in medical writing, writing about topics that I have gone through medical issues with like cancer; I lost my husband to cancer in 2006. I have written on a variety of subjects. My interests include: gardening, health, alternative medicine, disease & conditions, exercise & diet, family history, crafts, children, decorating, special education, early learning, and school aged children, pets, country music, history and folk arts.

I am a former newspaper page design-ad composition artist working for 4 1/2 years for 3 community newspapers. I worked on a MAC using graphic arts programs photoshop, illustrator, and quark express doing, full 3-4 page layouts. I also did copywriting, photo editing as well as page layout.

I started out as researcher doing Family history research and writing. It led me to building many web pages. I also spent time taking community college classes in early childhood development, and worked at preschools as teacher/teaching assistant. I have a special interest in learning disabled, and school age children. Children with learning problems is not new to me, as I have gone through issues with my own children and now my grandchildren. I have raised three daughters, and have four grandchildren.
