About Me

I have written professionally for nearly twenty years. While most of my writing has been educational informational writing, I began my career as a features writer for a daily newspaper in the small town of Elizabethton, Tennessee. Since then I have written extensively for EBSCO Publishing, WCITIES, and Bright Hub, with a smattering of other bits here and there along the way. I have a passion for world cultures and art appreciation which was strongly influenced by a childhood of traveling throughout Europe as a U.S. Army brat. As an adult, I have lived in Massachusetts and Tennessee and have traveled throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. With two children with ADHD, I appreciate writing in the ADHD channel as it affords me the opportunity to write from my own knowledge, while also researching practical and relevant material for my family and others. I enjoy writing for Bright Hub and look forward to each article I write.
