About Me

Lori Soard has a PhD in Journalism and Creative Writing, but she's hardly the stuffy professor type. She enjoys a good romantic comedy as much as the next girl, and has written a couple of her own, including The Lipstick Diaries, Housebreaking a Husband and Finding Ms. Right. Her articles have been published widely in magazines such as Cobblestone, Executive Update and Woman's World. Since 1993, she has worked as a freelance writer and copy editor. During that time, she started a small press publishing company, published a monthly fiction magazine, promoted authors and built a promotional community of websites. Currently, she is back in school working on an advanced degree in English Education. She teaches a few days a week and writes the rest of the time.

Lori and her family live in Indiana. She has a husband, two daughters, and a houseful of animals. She and her husband lead their church's youth group, so the house is almost always full of teens, noise and laughter.
