Laurie Patsalides is first and foremost an educator. Certified as a PreK-6 teacher and finishing a graduate degree in Education this semester, Laurie enjoys teaching. It was her love of writing which brought her full circle to pursue freelance writing at Bright Hub. As a freelance Managing Editor of both the Online Learning and Early Childhood Education Channels, she is in her element. Laurie is a natural researcher, enjoying to delve in and pull out a gem of information for online learning, and to share infant and early childhood development expertise with others. Her role of Managing Editor at Bright Hub has brought with it great experiences. Using a combination of academic studies, personal talents, and experience in teaching and the sciences has allowed her to flourish in both writing and managing at Bright Hub. She has learned about content marketing, SEO training and performance, and most especially how to succeed in a virtual environment. Laurie enjoys working with and leading a wonderful staff of writers and contributing editors.
In her personal life, Laurie enjoys reading, writing and the arts. She especially loves to read children's literature and aspires to publish a children's literature book in the future. She also enjoys writing and designing greeting cards.
