Laurie Patsalides

About Me

Laurie Patsalides, foremost an educator, holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Science in Education. She has developed and presented seminars and workshops in nutrition and also has classroom experience and supervisory experience in the teaching field.

It was her love of writing that brought her full circle to pursue freelance writing at Bright Hub. Her writing contributions reflect her passion to teach literacy. A natural researcher, she seeks to delve in and pull out a nugget of information for her readers. Pursuing excellence in all she does, Laurie’s main goal is to empower the world-wide audience with relevant and current educational material.

As a freelance Managing Editor at Bright Hub she displayed the ability to succeed in a virtual environment. She is an accomplished leader of an energetic group of teacher-writers and contributing editors, committed to their continued success.

In her free time, Laurie reads, writes poetry, crafts and decorates. Her natural gift to make all things beautiful inspires her crafts, scrapbooking and home decor. She is an avid reader of children's literature and aspires to publish a children's literature book one day and to continue her academic studies to the doctorate level. Laurie also supports the humane treatment of animals.
