Laura Jean Karr is a freelance artist and writer. Some of her past work includes a weekly column through The Florida Times Union, former Creative Services Coordinator for The Ellsworth American and individual projects for The Bucksport Enterprise. She is also currently the a contributing author for the EcoExistent web site and a ghost writer.
Laura was awarded the 2002 National Poet of Merit award in Washington,D.C. She has been published in over eight poetry anthologies.
Laura, also holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and is in a constant mode of life long learning hoping to continue her studies as time and finances allow.
