Senior Systems Administrator in the San Francisco Bay Area, and author of a number of Linux books such as Knoppix Hacks, Knoppix Pocket Reference, Linux Multimedia Hacks, and Ubuntu Hacks for O'Reilly Media. In addition I have spoken on Linux in a number of Linux Users' Groups, on the radio, and at OSCON. I am also currently the president of the North Bay Linux Users' Group (http://nblug.org).

I have been using Linux regularly since early 1998 and professionally since 1999 and currently use it as my primary desktop and server environment.
