Originally a second grade teacher, Kim Taylor-DiLeva is now a presenter of workshops for parents and teachers on the benefits of using American Sign Language (ASL) signs with their hearing children or students. She is a Certified Presenter with Sign2Me and has used American Sign Language with her own hearing children. She worked for over 10 years as an educator, both as an elementary school teacher and an elementary school librarian before embarking on her writing and presenting career.
