Born in London in 1958 , I emigrated to Australia with my family in 1967 and grew up on the east coast south of Sydney. While completing a B. Sc. in psychology I was drawn into statistics and from there into computing. After a brief stint in the public service I became a freelance software trainer and subsequently moved into indexing, journalism and website and database work. I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW with my wife and family.
