John Garger is a behavioral scientist and business owner in upstate New York. He has published empirical and theoretical papers in scholarly journals on the subjects of organizational behavior, leadership, technology acceptance, and methodology. His primary research and teaching interests include leadership, technology in the workplace, and education. John's research has been featured in various proceedings of national and regional conferences. John's main focuses are building his information services business and working as a freelance academic author, copyeditor, and copywriter. John's expertise includes organizational behavior, leadership, statistics, methodology, research design, information services, and micro-computer design. An avid student of classical Latin, John has enjoyed studying the language along side English for over twenty years. John is currently in the process of publishing Ensure Fitness: The Free Online Fitness Magazine.
John earned his MBA from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton with a concentration in leadership and consulting. He holds a BS in Marketing and an AAS in Management, Marketing, and Sales. The Center for Leadership Studies bestowed a leadership certificate on John in 1999.
In 2009, John received two "Highly Commended Awards" from the Emerald Literati Network for scholarly papers published in 2008. Two recent publication earned him a Reader's Choice and an Editor's Choice Award and another paper earned 'Lead Article' status in a scholarly publication.
For the past twelve years John has been a member of ΟΔΚ, the national leadership honors society.
John is sole proprietor of an information services and consulting company in upstate New York. In 1998, He was awarded a doctoral assistantship in which he completed all coursework of an AACSB-accredited management/organizational behavior program. From 1998-2002 he was a research assistant for the Center for Leadership Studies located at Binghamton University (SUNY). John taught organizational behavior at Binghamton University and at Luzerne Community College he taught marketing and human resource management.
