About Me

Jo Brielyn is a work-at-home mother and freelance writer, author and poet. She believes life is full of humor, inspiration and valuable lessons. Jo is an experienced youth worker who has spent over fifteen years teaching, leading and training children of all ages. She is also a former military member, where she worked as a training specialist and instructor for the Air Force.

Jo is the creator, editor and administrator of Creative Kids Ideas, a resource website that provides parents, teachers and family members with tips and fun ideas for building creativity and learning in kids. She also writes both fiction and nonfiction pieces for various online and print publications. Read more about Jo's writing career at JoBrielyn.com.

Ms. Brielyn is currently writing a humorous novel for middle-grade children.

A quote from Jo:

"I take a creative, and somewhat playful, approach to parenting and teaching children. I believe while there's a time and place for seriousness, there's also a great need for humor and flexibility when dealing with kids. My experience instructing both adults and children has taught me that people learn and retain lessons more effectively from doing, not merely from watching and listening. My goal is to get children involved and excited about learning and experiencing life."
