Jason has spent the last 12 years working with information technology in
various capacities. His dedication, desire and understanding of the
relationship of technology and business has fueled the rise to the top
of his profession in a relatively short time. The responsibilities he
has had range from desktop support to executive management. These roles have encompassed many
business verticals and objectives through some of the most fulfilling
and exciting times in the technology industry to date. Jason has
concentrated his technology leadership skills and development in the
area of information security program management for the past 8 years.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Certified Information Systems Security Proffessional (CISSP)
Jason is currently fulfilling the role of the State of Tennessee's first
Chief Information Security Officer. Information security plays a key
role in the success of the State's business goals. He is focusing on
the progressive improvement of the Enterprise Information Security
program.
Prior to his role as CISO with the State, he was one of 4
information security officers within the Thomson Corporation (Thomson
Learning). In this role he helped establish and implement the formal
information security program under the direction of (then) CSO Dennis
Devlin.
Before his tenure with Thomson (now Thomson Reuters) he was employed as a Senior
Security Engineer with Broadwing Communications (Cincinnati Bell). In
this role he was responsible for designing and implementing network
security architectures for our hosting facilities and customer
installations. He worked with many Fortune 500's in this role.
Jason dedicates most of his time to family.
