Gabbi comes from my last name, not my first. My real name is Cheryl Gabbert, hence the "Gabbi" nickname. I am first of all mommy to 4 beautiful children, and wife to an awesome husband. My life is dedicated to serving God as a born again Christian. I have done a lot of different things in my life. It seems I'm always searching for some new, exciting, and fun thing to try. I hate boredom worse than anything. I was a respiratory therapist for 7 years and an early childhood teacher in the public schools for around 6 years. Then I decided to become a stay at home mom and that's the most rewarding profession yet. In addition to being a stay at home mom, I am a homeschooling consultant, assisting parents who homeschool, reviewing homeschool portfolios, and working with families who homeschool children with special needs. I am also a freelance writer, and I'm truly excited to write for Bright Hub. It's my latest adventure. I also teach a kindergarten Sunday school class.
I love to draw and paint. Prismacolors are awesome. I sell my products on ebay and Zazzle. I also love to read, and I'm a real fitness and nutrition fanatic. I am an avid walker and researcher of all things related to health and nutriton. I'm always in search of natural cures and home remedies, as well as natural beauty treatments. I hope to share some of these passions on Bright Hub.

Worked as a certified respiratory therapist in a hospital setting for 7 years, then as an early childhood special needs teacher in the public schools for 6 years. Currently, I'm a freelance writer and homeschool consultant for families with children who are both typically developing and have special needs. I have worked as a homeschool consultant for 4 years.
