Life is too interesting to ever stop learning, to exciting to not write about it. I am a student at the University of South Carolina, finishing up my last semester of my undergrad. I have a diverse range of interest and studies that involves all sorts of stuff that have to do with technology. I have an intense interest in geek culture, scientific practice, and the way technology and nature interact--among many other things. I unify all my interests with a whole lot of writing and thinking.
For those who are interested, my real name is Josh Call but I tend to use the name etherfire around the internet.
I have set up multiple blogs including my own blog over here, where I deposit my thoughts and writing.
I've built several computers and toyed with hardware and software for quite a while, as well as various online services.
I have a history of academic and writing work, having assisted three different professors on their projects in the field of science communication, rhetoric, and nanotechnology. I also conducted my own research project on risk management and politics, particularly in relation to emerging technologies.
