About Me

A native Texan transplanted to the Midwest for her husband’s job, Erica spent the previous four years as a middle school English teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, tasting wine, watching sports and reading. She is currently taking Spanish classes and tutors English Language Learning students.

My Experience

Erica earned a degree in journalism with a concentration in sports writing from The University of Texas. After graduation, she completed training to become a middle school teacher. Erica taught fifth grade for two years at a private Catholic school in Fort Worth, Texas. Then, eighth grade English at a Title 1 school in Fort Worth, Texas. The next year brought a unique opportunity to teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade English within a state recognized school district. Currently, Erica tutors ELL (English Language Learner) students at a local school.
