Hello all, a short introduction of mine first. Simplicity defines my nature. Hardwork is what I seek for with all my honesty. I value true friendship and sincere relationships that last longer. Adventurous by heart and positive towards life - this is me.
Coming to my ecademic journey covered so far, I've completed my BA in English literature from Cotton College, Assam, India. I did MA in English literature from Delhi University, India. I completed another MA in Linguistics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Currently, I'm pursuing my PhD in Linguistics from the same. My research topic includes language typology and language documentation along with descriptive grammar writing in Ahom language - one of the endagered languages once spoken in Assam, India.
I have cleared the honorary UGC-NET examination which bestowed me with the eligibility of national lecturership in any educational institute within India.
I got the opportunity to present my scholar paper at the international conference of North East Indian Linguistic Society in 2006 - a joint effort by Guwahati University, Assam, India and La Trobe University, Australia.
I was delighted to get my article on "ECV Constructions in Assamese and Kashmiri: A Comparative Analysis" published in the first issue of the journal of North East Indian Linguistics in 2007.
Languages and cultures interest me more than anything. I'm happy to be part of so many field trips initiated by the Linguistics department of Jawaharlal Nehru University, India into the lesser known language areas. This helped me gather several inspiring and first-hand experiences on language documentation, grammar description, language typology and culture studies.
Technology and gadgets draw my attention so quickly. I'm an avid blogger too. I love to write about things I like. I worked as a Content Writer for sometime in 2006 till 2007 in Vangelz Technologies. My designation demanded me to write articles, blogs and press releases on technology, gadgets, mobile phones, laptops, digicams, cars, you name it. It was a learning experience for me.
It is this experience that further instilled in me the enthusiasm of writing. Since 2007, I started working as a freelancer. And now, I work as a fulltime freelancer. From languages, cultures and societies to technology and gadgets, I've covered everything that interested me. And I'm hopeful to carry it along to a a brighter future.
