I am a 52 year old mechanical Engineer, running my own machine design consultancy firm Productive Solutions from my residence at Chennai, India. I passed out from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore in B.E.(Mechanical) with a Honours degree in the year 1979.
I started Productive Solutions in the year 1992 as a SOHO (small Office Home Office) and have been offering design services in developing jigs and fixtures, Special purpose Machines (SPMs) , special Industrial machines, CNC SPMs, Machine automation systems and so on.
The machines and equipment of our designs (built by reputed machine and SPM builders in Chennai like Protel, Redema, Keen, Unipunch, Servo Hydraulics etc) are working in several major Industries across India including TVS group, Rane Group, Amalgamations group, Kinetic, Sona, Audco, CUMI, Bonfiglioli and several other large, medium and small companies.
With my additional interest in computer software, I developed a Software for Gauge and Instrument Calibration system during the later part of 1990s which proved to be a very handy software for computerised gage calibration management in the Standards Rooms of many Industries including Rane, Clayton, HM, Hydraulics Ltd., Rambal, Hero Honda and so on.
I am gifted with a loving and caring family and I am fortunate enough to spare time to pursue my love for writing. I am a spiritually inclined person, God loving and peace loving. I am quite humorous and love to make fun of the idiosyncrasies in the world and in myself too!
I am (rather was) a short-story writer too. More than a dozen of my short stories had been published in my mother tongue Tamil in very popular Tamil Weeklies and monthlies a decade ago and earlier.
A couple of my English writings related to Office-work/ management got published in "Business India" magazine decades ago.
I stumbled upon blogging and web-content writing more than a year ago; the scope of getting my writes instantly published enthused me to revive writing in full swing.
I am a regular contributor of "How to" articles at Howtodothings.com.
I also write regularly on a variety of subjects at Helium.com. At this moment, I am a 5-star writer there (highest grading is 5-stars). I also write at Suite101 and hubpages.

I also write about my observations on the society and its funny contradictions. I also write on a variety of subjects like management, business - small and home business, marketing, personnel management, personal health and on family well being. I love writing short stories with twists and interesting personal anecdotes.
Immediately after graduation, I worked as a Graduate Engineer at India Pistons Ltd., (an Amalgamations group company) for two and a half years and that's where I grasped my fundamentals of design skills.
Later, I worked in Batliboi and Co.Ltd., at Chennai by joining as a Sales Engineer and rised to the level of Deputy Manager (application Engineering) in the next 10 years. My responsibilty covered application oriented selling of machine tools, particularly Special Purpose Machines and CNC Machine tools.
In my last 3 years at Batliboi, I handled a project of tooling up, trying out and proving several intricate defence components in 3 advanced CNC machines which Batliboi supplied to a defence organization in technical collaboration with a reputed US firm.
After thus accumulating about 13 years of industrial experience, I decided to start my own show on the strength of my first love, namely, machine design.
