I am a 35 year old single mom to my six year old son. It's just the two of us, and engaging in fitness and exercise is a part of our life. We live in Canada, so participating in an active lifestyle can be a bit of a challenge during those long, winter months, but we make a point of staying active every day. Swimming lessons, soccer, walking, biking, and even dancing on the rainy days, is how we keep active. For us, it's not about fitting a perfect size or personal aesthetics, it's about maintaining our health and improving our quality of life. We all have something we enjoy doing. Find that something that you enjoy, and turn it into exercise!

My writing career started in high school when I was my school's correspondent with the town's weekly newspaper. Then, I wrote on current events and news that was happening in my high school. Since then, I have gained advanced degrees in my chosen fields, psychology and education. To keep my hands in the field of psychology, I counsel children, adolescents, and young adults on a consultant basis, and use the remainder of my time writing. Psychology will always be my first love and my field of choice, but I have used this passion to tap into my other passion, writing. I have been involved in both online and offline content production and focus my writing on my fields of choice, psychology and education. I have experience in academic journal research, article marketing, copywriting, ebook production, copywriting, fiction work, and currently have a non-fiction manuscript in process. Being a writer is not something that I do, it is who I am.
