Based in Tampa Florida, I have been writing poems and articles since 1959.I quit studying French and English at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine in Trinidad, to travel to Europe, where I studied German and Swedish at language schools in Bremen, Germany and Stockholm, Sweden. I later worked as a newspaper reporter/feature writer for the “Trinidad Guardian”, before moving to Florida.I am now a freelance writer for online and print publications. I am multilingual. In addition to English which is my maternal tongue, I speak, read and write French, German, Spanish and Swedish.

2003 - Present : Freelance writer/translator.I have written over 250 articles and poems for the website Helium, and several for Associated Content and Catholic Match. 2001 - 2002 : Freelance writer for the Caribbean Connection newspaper in Tampa, Florida. 2000-2007: Taught intermittently at Tampa Language Center, Tampa Florida 1994 - Present: Correspondent for the Caribbean Compass, a water-sports newspaper in Bequia, West Indies 1994 - 1999 Freelance Correspondent for The Boca, a water sports magazine in Trinidad; Tobago Today and the Catholic News 1994 - 1999 :Freelance Correspondent for The Nautical Scene, Caribbean Water Sports newspaper, and Tour Guide for French and German visitors in Trinidad and Tobago 1990-1990: Taught at Alliance Française San, Fernando, Trinidad, W.I. 1984-1999: Correspondent for the Trinidad Guardian Publishing Company - The leading daily newspaper in Trinidad and Tobago. At the home office, I was responsible for reporting on all issues including court, fire, hospital and community affairs. As an independent contractor at the branch office in Tobago from 1990-1999, I worked as a newspaper reporter, feature writer and sales representative. In this capacity I was an asset in giving more publicity to events on the island through generating more news articles and feature stories. I also generated more advertising sales for the newspaper.
