I joined the Missouri Botanical Garden's Litzinger Road Ecology Center in October 2007 to assist in managing the
increasing number of schools visiting the site. Prior to joining LREC, I spent three years as an AmeriCorps*VISTA and VISTA Leader working
with Missouri 4-H to establish, support, and sustain
after-school computer labs and youth technology projects in a number of
counties across Missouri. A St. Louis native, I received a B.S. in
Engineering Management from the University of Missouri- Rolla and a M.
Eng. in Industrial and Management Engineering from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute.
I've had photography as a hobby since the early 90s, but since joining
the staff at the Missouri Botanical Garden's Litzsinger Road Ecology
Center in 2006, I've taken on photography responsibilities here in addition to
my official title. A significant
number of the photos on our website (www.litzsinger.org)
are mine, as are a few of the blog entries. Because of where I work,
the majority of photos I take fit in the nature/landscape category.
I've also had extensive experience with PTAssembler, Pano2QTVR, and
Quicktime VR, as I created a virtual tour of our facility (also
available through our website).
