She received a fellowship to attend the Summer Literary Series in St. Petersburg Russia in 2006. Carol has been the health editor of Hot Psychology (now closed) and is currently a family advisor at Caring.com. Carol teaches marketing, memoir, and essay writing at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville University, and the Margaret Mitchell House in Atlanta, Georgia.
