About Me

Keen Latinist and rabid Greek geek. I specialise in fourth-century Greek and Macedonian history (end of the Peloponnesian War to the battle of Ipsus). I am also interested in fifth-century Greek and first-century Roman history, and Greek and Roman religious history. Hexameter poetry (both Greek and Latin) is less an interest than an obsession.

When I can afford it, I spend my summers waltzing around Italy, Greece and Turkey. My avatar is the facade of the great library of Ephesus.
