About Me

My name is Tommy, and I love chicken. Best introduction ever, I might add. I'm a bit on the ridiculous side, but I think that makes life much more fun. So far I'm writing for both Language Learning and Console Gaming here on Bright Hub. Very distinct subjects, but ones I am very passionate about. I've been playing video games since I was about 4 years old, with my NES, cheating and holding the Duck Hunt gun up to the screen. This doesn't seem to help with my Wii, though, and that makes me sad.

I do play a wide variety of games, though, from action games to RPGs to racing games. I'm practically unbeatable at any Tony Hawk game or Star Fox 64. I consider myself unbiased when it comes to games, and for one simple reason: I'll criticize anything. I do enjoy my games, though, and still lose sleep because I play too many of them.

And as for languages, I've been studying them since my freshman year of high school, when I started taking French as a requirement for my graduation, and fell in love with it. I ended up going to school for foreign language, and have studied French, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, and even a little bit of Ki-Swahili over the years. I also am the host and creator of "Apprendre l'anglais," a podcast that teaches English to French speakers (website: http://www.anglaispod.com/).
