Bruce Chapin is a retired Air Force enlisted flyer who lives in Nebraska with his wife, Patti. Born in Michigan, Bruce has had the opportunity to travel the United States and lived in Eastern England for three years. Besides his wife, his passions in life include teaching, writing and building model sailing ships. You will usually find him reading something no matter where you find him. He often has as many as three books and a magazine to read at a time. He also spends a few hours each week writing for various venues and now for Brighthub as well.

Bruce Chapin comes to us with more than 30 years of technology experience. That experience is enhanced by 20 years of teaching/training and 10 years of business management experience. Bruce started his computer experience in the early 1970's and built is first "desktop" computer in 1974 to 1975. He was involved with leading edge technology during 20 years in the Air Force from which he retired in 1994. From papertape storage, through ARPANET and the birth of the Internet, to the rise of eCommerce, Bruce has been involved in one facet or another. Currently he works as a computer consultant.
