I am a freelance writer from Australia, with a background in teaching teenagers with special learning needs and disabilities. I have worked with young people with physical, intellectual, sensory and learning disabilties. I work mainly as an educational writer, specialising in literacy, numeracy and general and workplace communication skills. I am the author of 12 teacher resource books which support teachers working with children in primary and secondary classrooms, as well as those in alternative education settings.
My recent publications include:
Practical Activities for ESL Students (Teaching Solutions, 2011) This book is designed to support children who are new to the Australian education system and provides practical activities across a range of teaching areas. The activities provide an introduction to school life, as well as helping students build important literacy skills.
Australians All - Civics and Citizenship (Teaching Solutions, 2010) This practical book supports upper primary teachers working in the challenging civics and citizenship domain, as well as those seeking resource material for students about Australia and Australian culture.
