About Me

I began my studies as a Computer Engineer in the Mayagüez Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. Though I enjoyed computers and engineering, I also had a passion for art and design.

During my first two years, I also took many optional courses in Art, and I eventually decided to move to a university specializing in graphic design, where I got my BA in Graphic Arts and my Master's Degree in Digital Graphic Design. Of course, my other passion for computers never left me, so I also got certified in Windows Operating Systems, and I have taught myself several programming languages using what I learned with Flash Actionscript as the base.

I currently have my own business, a consultation firm specializing in graphic design, e-learning, and Windows PC maintenance.

My Experience

Graphic Designer for a communications firm, Integrated Communications, handling the newspaper and magazine advertisements for clients such as Alcon del Caribe, Garage Isla Verde (Mercedez Benz Puerto Rico), John Dewey College, and others.

Self-employed graphic design consultant for clients in diverse industries such as the cardboard printing industry, pharmaceuticals / biotech, and banks in Puerto Rico.

GUI design and user experience consultant for Interactive Engineering, a company specializing in e-learning product development for the pharmaceutical industry.

Full design of e-Learning modules for Ethicon and Biovail (PR offices). Consultant and UI developer for e-Learning modules for Lilly del Caribe, Pfizer Puerto Rico, and Wyeth Puerto Rico.

IT consultant as a liaison between Interactive Engineering and Biovail Puerto Rico during the design of DBMMS, a database manufacturing management system created to perform precise measurements of manufacturing and packaging floor data for the purposes of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
