A Special Note to Writers:
I am
always happy to help you improve your writing and understand how to fix
problems within your article. Please feel free to message me any time
with your questions. Please note that it is always best to consult with
a contributing editor or the managing editor of the channel you are
writing for if the question is in regards to an article for that
channel.
Quick Tips for Writing Well (for any company or publisher, not just BH):
Use
the "Grammar Check" and "Spell Check" features in your word processor.
These two features will save you untold time and headaches.
If
you use Microsoft Word, install a 'Word Count' button for easier word
count monitoring. Remember, Bright Hub recommends articles be between
350 - 700 words in length (Your channel may have different guidelines).
If you want to learn how to easily install a 'word count' button,
please check my how-to:

Sometimes,
commonly used phrases will trigger a plagiarism flag. It is always a
great idea to check your own article through any of the free online
plagiarism checking sites before submission so that you can re-write
any phrases that set off an alert. Some companies use an automated
system that will flag, warn or ban you due to these alerts. Human-run
checks catch these issues and prevent you from getting flagged with or
banned from the site. Save yourself time and hassles by running your
own checks before you submit your work.
Remember to properly cite
your sources. Your channel or the company you are writing for should
have clear instructions. If not, or if you need specific help, check my
