Unfortunately, not everyone who wants a website has the time or talent needed to create and aesthetically pleasing and functional site. Happily, there are now a number of websites that provide free HTML/CSS templates that can be used by anyone to create a charming website. OpenWebDesign.org is one such company.

OpenWebDesign.org has an excellent selection of free templates. There are almost 2500 templates available. Templates can be browsed by date added, highest and lowest ratings, and highest and lowest number of downloads. This is convenient for a number of reasons. If you want a free template that hasn’t been used by many people you would search by lowest number of downloads. If you wanted a site that was mostly bug free you would search for those with the highest ratings.

The templates available on OpenWebDesign.org are exceptional, especially when one takes into account that they are free. The graphics are more impressive than those offered by other free template sites making many of these free templates worthy of payment. There is even a fun function that lets you look at random templates and decide if it is good enough for the site.

Ease of Download (5 out of 5)

Downloading the free templates from OpenWebDesign.org is very simple. There are two places where download is available; from the thumbnail screen and from the demo screen. The download button is located under the thumbnail of the free template. From the demo screen the download button is in the upper right corner.

OpenWebDesign.org is a fantastic place to find high quality free templates. There are templates that would be suitable for beginners and templates that would be useful for more experienced web designers as well. With so many choices to choose from there is sure to be something to suit everyone.
