In this tutorial, I will show you how to change your webpage title, background, meta tags, and more in Web Builder.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to modify your page properties in Web Builder. This is a three part tutorial. In the first part, I will show you how to modify the general properties and the meta tags properties. In the second tutorial, I will show you how to modify your formatting properties, and in the third tutorial, I will show you how to modify your scrollbar and page transitions properties.

How to Modify your General Properties in Web Builder

Open your Web Builder program and click Page > Page Properties. In the box that opens, click the General Tab. Under the General Section you will see the following options.

Title – This is the title of your page. This is the title that will appear in the top bar of your browser. Type the page title in this field.

Button Name – This is what you would use in the code if you were coding. Just leave this field as it is.

Page Width / Page Height – This determines the size of your webpage. Most pages are set to 800 x 600, so you can leave this field as it is unless you want to change it.

File Extension – Most webpages are HTML, unless you understand the different file extensions, I would set this option to HTML.

Page Language – You can set the page language to what you want or you can set it to none.

Favorites Icon – This will be the icon that appears in your address bar. You can click the browse button and locate the icon you want to use. Then double click the icon and it will open.

The fields below these options are asking if you want to do certain things. Simply read the questions and tick the boxes of your choice. These fields are pretty self explanatory.

How to Modify your Meta Tags in Web Builder

Now we will take a look at the meta tags section. In the Author field, you can enter your name or the name of the webpage. In the Keywords field, you will need to enter keywords that go along with the webpage you are working on. In the Description field, you will need to enter a description for the webpage that you are working on.

Please go to part two of this tutorial to learn how to modify your formatting options. Leave the properties box open, do not shut it just yet.
