The user section of WordPress allows you to manage the users that have signed up for your site. In this tutorial, I will show you how to navigate through the users section of WordPress.

In this section you can delete users, edit users, change user roles, and add users. To delete a user, tick the field beside the users name and click the Delete button. To edit a user, click the name of the user. On the edit page, you can change the information that you want to change. After you have made the changes to the user, click the Update User button to save the changes.

You can also change a users role to admin, editor, author, subscriber, or contributor. To change the role of a user, tick the box beside the name of the user and drop the Change Role To box down. In the drop down box, you will need to select the role that you want to apply to the user.

To add a new user, scroll down to the bottom of the page to where it says “Add New User”. Enter the information into the fields for the user and click the Add User button. The new user will be created and added to the top panel with the other users. You can view the users in the top panel and you can sort the users by clicking one of the links above the user panel.

Navigating the Your Profile Section of WordPress

The last section in the Users Section is the Your Profile section. This is where you will set up your profile for WordPress. In this section of WordPress, you can change all of your profile information. You can change your email address, contact information, bio info, and more. You can also change the color scheme of the admin panel. By default, there are two color schemes for you to choose from. You can download other themes from the web. Change the settings to what you want and click the Update Profile button.

That’s how you navigate your WordPress CMS. If you are a beginner to WordPress, this series will familiarize you with the navigation of WordPress.
