This is an introduction article to the Navigating the WordPress CMS series. This article will briefly explain what you can expect to see in this series. If you are new to using WordPress, this series will explain how to navigate through the WordPress CMS. Let’s take a look at the different sections in WordPress that we will be covering with this series.
Writing Section – The writing section is where you will create your posts, pages, and links. This tutorial will show you how to navigate through the writing section of WordPress and create the posts, pages, and links.
Manage Section – The manage section of WordPress is where you will manage things like posts, pages, links, categories, and tags. This tutorial is a two part tutorial and it will show you how to navigate through the manage section.
Design Section – The design section is where you will apply a theme and edit themes. You will also find the widgets tool in this section. This tutorial will show you how to navigate through the design section of WordPress.
Comments Section – The comment section is where you will control all of the comments on your WordPress blog. In this section you can approve comments, delete comments, edit comments, and more. This tutorial will show you how to do all of that.
Settings Section – The settings section is where you will setup your settings for different things on your blog. Some of the settings that you will find in this section are the reading settings, writing settings, discussion settings, and permalinks settings. This is a three part tutorial and it will walk you through navigating the Settings Section of WordPress.
Plugins Section – The Plugins section is where all of your Plugins that you download and install will be stored. In this section you can manage your Plugins and edit your Plugins. This tutorial will show you how to navigate the Plugins section of WordPress.
Users Section – The users section of WordPress is where you will manage users that have signed up for your WordPress blog. You can edit users, assign roles to users, delete users, and more. You can also edit your own profile in this section. This tutorial will walk you through the users section of WordPress.
