What is b2evolution? B2evolution is a blogging software that can be installed on your website. It has all of the basic blogging tools you will need and more. B2evolution is often used for blogging, but it can also be used for other things.
B2evolution Skins / Themes
In b2evolution, the themes are referred to as Blog Skins. By default, b2evolution offers 12 different themes for you to choose from. If you can’t find a theme that you like, you can search and browse through other themes. To get to the themes section on b2evolution, you will need to click Blog Settings > Skins. To use a default theme, simply click the theme that you want to use.
B2evolution Posts / Comments
With the b2evolution posts and comments, you have your usual tools like editing, deleting, and permissions. You can set the blog posts to where they can’t be commented on or you can set rules for the comments. When adding a new blog post, you have many editing tools available. If you are an advance user, you can convert the editor to expert and use html code. If you are a beginner, keep it on the simple tab and you can simply type what you want. You have the option of setting it to published right then or setting a date for it to be published. You can also choose to keep the post private for members only or post it for the public.
B2evolution Users
With the Users section, you can manage your different users. You can edit the users, delete the users, send users email, and change permissions for users. You can also add a user to the site. This is great for creating admins for your site. You can grant different ones permissions. You can also create groups for the users in b2evolution.
B2evolution Plugins
You will find that there are a wide variety of b2evolution Plugins. When installing b2evolution on your site, default Plugins will be installed, but you can download other Plugins too. To get to the Plugins section of b2evolution, click Global Settings > Plugin Installs. In this panel you can activate, edit, and deactivate Plugins. If you can’t find a plugin that you are looking for in the default Plugins, you can do a search for more Plugins.
