How to place Google Adsense Ads Within Posts in Your Blogger Account
Page content

Many bloggers choose to incorporate Google Adsense with their Blogger accounts. Blogger as-is, allows for you to place Adsense ads around, on top, and on bottom of your blog. However, many users want to place an Adsense ad either directly after the date, or in between their posts. In order to do this, all you need to know is a little bit about html.

Pick an Ad

You will need to log in to your Adsense account and create an Ad from there that you would like to use for this. After you have created the ad, copy the html that Adsense gives you.

Log in to Blogger

In order to access the html for your Blogger blog, you wil first want to log in. After you have done that, you will want to click the layout tab. Under the layout tab, navigate to the “edit html” tab.

In order to place Adsense ads in between or immediately after the date, you will need to edit the html in the window you see below. Before you do this you will want to backup all of the information on your template. This should be done in case you make a mistake and want to revert back to your old html settings. To do this, click the “Download Full Template” link that you will see on the top of the page.

Now, you will want to navigate to the html window and click the box entitled “Expand Widget Templates” box.

From here, you will want to scan through the html until you find a line that looks like this: “

data:post.body/

Paste the html

Now you will want to paste the html code that Adsense generated for you right before the above line between the “

” and the
.

It should now look something like this:

_\[PUT YOUR ADSENSE CODE HERE\]_

"

That’s really all there is to it. Now just click the save template button. Adsense ads will now appear directly after the date, and before your post.

Note: Google directly states that this is fine to do as long as you differentiate your ads from your content. Meaning that if you are going to take advantage of placing Adsense within the body of your blog, you should make sure that the ad is cleary seen as an ad, and not mistaken for part of your text.
