Netbook Unlimited Broadband Packages

RSS

Having worked closely on a project in recent months where Netbooks use Broadband & N3 connectivity via smart card encryption to access a centralized NHS system, the need in the UK for unlimited broadband is considerable. And I dare say it is the same the world over.

Thus, when Michele McDonough, in her excellent series on Netbooks, discusses 'Verizon’s HP Netbook Mobile Broadband Package' I am astounded that there isn't a provider who has developed a business case to deliver an unlimited nationwide mobile broadband package. In the current technological climate, devices and comms are becoming more streamlined for roaming usability, therefore it goes without saying that the demand is huge? Maybe Michele can answer this, but is there really no other option but to go with a capped service?

I thought US had IT.
I checked out all the Communications in India - none of them has an unlimited plan for wireless connectivity. On the contrary, they do have appealing ads (I can see Reliance on this page too) that promise heavens.

To top it, the customer care of some (especially TATA Indicom) is great. They have a nice way of transferring your calls to different departments until you drop the call yourself.

Broadband is available unlimited only for stationary systems. I go mad while roaming with the Tata stick... and they do not offer any kind of reduction even if you are not able to use it.

Wonder when I can lay my hands on satellite Internet for roaming. Am sick of the ones based on radio waves.
