As promised, we have some enemies. The SDL competition has stated that there needs to be a minimum of 3 levels, but instead of designing 3 fixed levels I thought that I would program in a more flexible way that allows for a unlimited possibility of random levels. So if you are looking at the code and wondering why it takes half a dozen classes to add a few simple enemies, this is why :)
