Nothing is better on the river, lakes, or ocean than Tevas. I’ve been through many raging rivers and never worried about losing a Teva sandal in a thundering current or having it consumed by a menacing vat of thick and deep mud because of their ankle-fastening designs. Footing is so important in the backcountry. If you’re feet gets beat up or injured good luck finding someone to carry you out. The design on this model is going to keep you safe while your attention is being stolen by some other wonder of the wild.

The Dozer has an imposing yet somehow genteel look about it. They just look like they are as ready for an adventure as a trusty and vibrant Labrador retriever might be. The Dozer design protects the entire foot which of course entails you're lead scouts, those brave but vulnerable toes. Teva describes them as a hybrid between a hiking shoe and a sandal designed with kayaking, river rafting, canoeing, and any hiking you plan on doing where coveted river crossings need to be made.
Across the board the Dozer has been reported by many women as extremely comfortable, with good arch support, and true to size in both length and width if you’re looking to buy them online with the link to Teva below. That is probably why it’s one of the most popular models. They offer an aggressive tread for a good grip and drain well which is extremely important. Older models sometimes allowed for pebbles to be trapped which meant you had to totally remove them to extricate it but they’ve worked out the kinks there.
Tevas speak the language of late spring and summer and the Dozer is no exception. Even if you're just tooling around town in the summertime they're enough of a sandal to keep your feet aware of the breeze. Plus they look good. My fellow hikers (all goddesses in their own right) exploring the rugged wilds of Montana spoke very highly of the Dozer for its durability and comfort over the long haul too.
