If you're looking for a pregnancy workout that provides cardio, strength training, and stretching in one dvd, this could be the workout for you. Erin O'Brien, an exercise specialist with pre/postnatal training certification leads you through this healthy and safe workout for pregnant women.

Prenatal Fitness Fix

This dvd contains two separate workouts. The first is 40 minutes long, and the second is a partner workout that's 20 minutes in length. This workout doesn't require any equipment, and can be done right in your living room. You won't need a lot of space to complete this dvd. This workout is packed with lunges, squats, tricep dips, ballet, yoga, pilates, modified push-ups and stretches. If you are a beginner-moderate level exerciser, this workout will provide a safe challenge for you.

The second part of the workout is a partner workout with Erin's husband, James Denton from Desperate Housewives. In this portion of the video, James and Erin show viewers how the husband can provide added resistance and support with some modified exercises. You'll be able to get your husband or significant other involved when you do this pregnancy workout dvd. Buy the dvd here.

Erin O'Brien

Erin O'Brien is a certified pre and postnatal trainer with over 10 years experience. She's well-trained in working with pregnant clients, and in this dvd she is actually pregnant herself. If you like bouncy, perky fitness instructors, she may not be your preference. Erin is pleasant, but not overly animated. She is knowledgeable and friendly without being annoying. Erin is like the girl next door, in real life workout wear, a low ponytail, and little makeup. She really gives you the impression of a friend or neighbor helping you do some exercises. Some people really like this, but others prefer an instructor with a more professional appearance.

Production Info

This exercise dvd lacks high production quality. The setting does not appear to be very professionally produced. It looks as if someone just filmed a pregnant woman doing exercises in her living room. The background music is not for everyone either. The music is instrumental versions of nursery rhymes, played at a faster pace. It depends on the viewer's preferences whether or not the dvd will be appealing or irritating. Some people like the no-nonsense surroundings that may remind viewers of their own home. Others would prefer a more professional-looking setting.
