Achieving the Teenage Abs Six Pack

Depending on what kind of shape you are in, it is quite possible to see your teenage abs six pack within one to eight weeks. The main components of achieving powerful ab results are hard work through strength training, a sound diet and a powerful cardiovascular fitness program.

The Exercises

There are several ways to develop that teenage abs six pack. For example, Pilates isn't just for women anymore. Combining strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness is a great way to smooth out those abs. In addition, crunches on a stability ball force your body into the right form so that your back isn't bearing the brunt of the work. For the traditionalist, there always are sit-ups, push-ups, chin-ups, and more. One of the best ways to develop strength training for the abs is to rotate out these moves so that you are always keeping your ab muscles guessing. When an exercise becomes to easy, move on to something else.

The Cardio

Depending on how much body fat you have, you will want to consider some type of cardiovascular fitness program to achieve that teenage abs six pack. For example, if you are siginificantly overweight, all of the ab exercises in the world can't help you unless you melt off some body fat. You may start simple if you are really out of shape, for example, 20 minutes of walking a day most days of the week. However, you will want to aim for 30 minutes to an hour of cardiovascular activity at least five days a week for the best results. This activity can include walking, bicycling, jogging or walking.

The Food

In order for the six pack abs plan to really work, you will need to participate in a sound nutrition program. By all means do not starve yourself, but lay off the fried foods and take it easy on the dessert. A well balanced diet should include many fruits and vegetables, at least 5 a day. Airm for at least two low-fat dairy products a day to get in your calcium, and odn't forget to get in your protein for building those muscles.
