Review of HealthyGroceryList.com: An online resource to help busy people eat healthier.

About HealthyGroceryList.com

Web address:

http://www.healthygrocerylist.com

Overview of HealthyGroceryList.com:

HealthyGroceryList.com is a resource for healthy recipes and grocery lists. When you go to the site you can choose healthy recipes you'd like to prepare. Afterward, the site will generate a grocery list of all the items you'll need to prepare those meals.

Special Features:

One thing that makes this site quite helpful is the fact that you can choose recipes for a variety of special diets. You can choose from meals appropriate for the following diets:

  • Diabetic
  • Low carb
  • Active lifestyle
  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Body building
  • Low fat
  • Blood type
  • General
  • Well-rounded meals

HealthyGroceryList.com is set up for you to contribute healthy recipes of your own, as well. That feature helps to ensure you'll be able to choose from a variety of recipes. The recipe contribution feature is fun for those that enjoy sharing their healthy and tasty recipes.Another useful feature is the section of the website devoted to healthy cooking and fitness tips.

All in all I find the site very helpful because I'm always looking for new recipes to keep away dinnertime boredom. Visiting this site for recipes saves me time because I don't have to modify the recipes to make them healthier. The fact that I can generate a grocery list from the recipes I choose is another big time saver. There is nothing worse than getting home from the store and preparing to make a new dish, only to discover that you're missing a key ingredient because you overlooked it.

Goodies at HealthyGroceryLIst.com

One of the most interesting things about HealthyGroceryList.com is the recipe section devoted to eating for your blood type. The premise of the blood type diet is the theory that our bodies respond differently to different types of food depending on our blood type. My blood type is O. According to the information section that precedes the type O recipes, my blood type is the "most primitive". Therefore, the section devoted to my blood type contains recipes centered around meats, fruits, and vegetables.

HealthyGroceryList.com: Room for Improvement

Although the site is free to use, you do have to register with your personal information. The site is complete with a variety of recipe types, but some of the other sections, such as the ones devoted to fitness and cooking tips, do not offer much information or variety. Despite these shortcomings, HealthyGroceryList.com is still a keeper.
