  • How Much Weight Should I Expect to Lose Each Week by Normal Dieting and Exercising?

I have just started a diet where I eliminate the extra calories from sweets, sodas, and fatty foods I normally consume. My guess is that I was eating about 3500 calories a day and will be cutting back to about 2500/day just by cutting out the foods I don't need like donuts, ice cream, soda, sausage, etc.

I also plan to walk/jog for 20 minutes or so a few times a week. I understand I will not lose lots of weight in one week, but how much can I expect to lose each week? I have a target weight in mind and would like to estimate how long it will take me to reach it.
