While hosting a play date, snack time can be hectic because picky toddlers do not always want to eat the same snack. There are many healthy toddler play date snacks that can be made to satisfy even the pickiest of toddlers.

When you host a play date for toddlers, you often have a difficult task ahead of you. It becomes more difficult when it comes to snack time. Toddlers are often picky eaters which can make the task of making the perfect snack very tricky. One toddler may want one thing, while another toddler won’t even touch it. Luckily, there are many healthy toddler play date snacks you can make to satisfy even the pickiest of toddlers.

Fruit Salad

Fruit salad is a great healthy snack to serve during a toddler play date. You can buy a wide variety of fruit to put in the salad. Great fruit can be honeydew melon, cantaloupe, grapes, apples, and peaches. You can give the toddlers plain yogurt for a dipping sauce.

Trail Mix

Trail mix is a fun and healthy snack for a toddler play date. Before serving this snack, make sure none of the children are allergic to nuts. To make this snack, mix together granola, peanuts, raisins, cereal rings (cheerio’s), yogurt chips, and dried fruit. As an added treat, you can mix in some chocolate chips or chocolate candies.

Fruit Jigglers

Fruit jigglers are always fun snacks for toddlers. For this snack you will need a couple boxes of instant Jell-O mix. Follow the directions on the box and pour the Jell-O mix into cup cake pans. Place a few pieces of diced fresh fruit, such as strawberries or peaches, into each section of the cup cake pan. Place them into the refrigerator until the Jell-O is ready. This jiggly snack is sure to please any toddler.

Cracker Sandwiches

Cracker sandwiches are a great snack to server to toddlers because each child will be able to make the exact sandwich they want. For this snack, you will need crackers, varieties of cheeses, and meats. Lay out different slices of cheese, such as American, cheddar, or Swiss, for the toddlers to choose from. Do the same thing with the meat, using many different types like chicken, bologna, or ham. Each toddler can then make a cracker sandwich using the cheese and meat they like best.

These healthy toddler play date snacks are sure to please any toddler. Before serving any food at a play date, make sure you check with all the parents for any food allergies a toddler may have. Serving a toddler a food they are allergic to is a quick way to ruin a play date.
