The Sixth Chakra: Brow

Chakras are a major part of natural and alternative healing methods. By using chakra balancing and healing, it is possible to prevent, treat and remove physical disorders that have been created due to inbalances in your body.

Symptoms and disorders are a result of unbalanced chakras. Sometimes they need to receive energy because they are deficient and sometimes they are excessive and need to release energy. Using various techniques, you can redistribute the energy to balance and unblock your chakras. During times of illness and aging, chakras slow their spinning and begin to collapse. Daily meditation, aromatherapy and the use of gemstones can help maintain the chakras.

Development

The Brow Chakra begins developing between adolescence and early adulthood. Some people may never develop this chakra. This chakra strongly connects you to your intuition, dreams and visions. It will develop early in life in people that possess psychic abilities.

Imbalances

The Sixth Chakra imbalances will manifest themselves emotionally with lack of self discipline, fear of success, inability to follow through with creativeness, egomania, lack of sensitivity to other people’s feelings and a tendency to blame others.

Physically, an imbalance in the Sixth Chakra will show itself with insomnia, migraines, eye problems, sinus problems and poor memory.

Restoring Balance

Gemstones and essential oils can be extremely helpful when balancing the chakras. By using them during meditation or other therapies, balancing can be achieved more quickly and completely. The Sixth Chakra is associated with the gems sodalite, amethyst and lapis lazuli and the essential oil scents of Basil, Clary Sage and Cedarwood.

The element of the Sixth Chakra is light and vision. To increase your light energy, spend as much time in natural light as you can. Get out in the sunlight for at least fifteen minutes a day, more if you are ill. Color is another easy way to increase or decrease this energy during meditation. Use lights and colors in the rooms of your house in the proper way to make the room the best source of the energy needed. For example, keep soft light and colors in the bedrooms for calm, peaceful sleep but bright, bold colors and light in an office to increase production.
