Windows Vista is an operating system released by Microsoft in 2009 as the successor to Windows XP. Windows Vista contains many changes and new features, including an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Aero, a redesigned search function, multimedia tools including Windows DVD Maker, and redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems.
Vista comes in six editions: Windows Vista Starter, Windows Vista Home Basic, Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise and Windows Vista Ultimate.
Windows Vista Home Premium includes all the features of Windows Vista Home Basic, and includes additional features like DVD authoring, mobile and tablet PCs, touch screens, an increased number of network connections, scheduled backups and more.
