What are Temporary Internet Files?

Internet Explorer LogoTemporary Internet Files are cached copies of the files that are downloaded when viewing web pages. These local files can be used to speed up web browsing by reducing the need to download files over the internet every time a page is viewed. This guide reviews a number of applications that can be used to clean up temporary internet files, as well as looking at the privacy modes that are available in modern web browser, which can negate some of the security concerns surrounding temporary internet files.
