The PlayStation 2 (PS2) is a sixth-generation gaming console created by Sony (creators of the PlayStation and PlayStation Portable gaming systems) and released in 2000. In addition to the original model, it has also been released in a Slimline version, and has sold over 100 million units worldwide. Its competitors are Microsoft's Xbox system, and Nintendo's Gamecube. Its best selling game was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, with nearly over 17 million copies sold.
Although the system is now over a decade old, the PS2 is still widely played by many gamers and developers are still producing games for it, although many have now moved on to its successor, the PlayStation 3.
Below, you will find several guides to help you take care of your PS2, more about PS2 emulators, as well as selecting and mastering PS2 games.
