Guide to the PDF Format

Portable Document Format, or PDF for short, is a document exchange standard invented by Adobe System. While everybody thinks about Adobe Acrobat when hearing PDF, the document exchange specification is in fact an open standard with many vendors other than Adobe providing free writing software to create digital files; the reader software on the other hand is free by any vendor known.

The advantage of converting files to Portable Document Format is that they are usually much smaller in size and can be opened by everyone, independent of the hardware platform and the operating system. Find below all detail information and useful tips & tricks!
