mini-800px-CRIANCAAn obstacle course refers to a series of various obstacles that are used as a game for children. Obstacles may require actions such as walking, jumping, crawling, climbing and balancing. They are made from furniture, rugs and other common materials available at home or school. Obstacle courses are enjoyed by small children, especially at the preschool stage. These courses are also used to help children with developmental delays and learning disabilities to improve their gross motor functions. They are also sometimes used for as part of sensory integration treatment.
