Novell LogoNovell is a software company based in Massachusetts that focuses on open source software for the enterprise space. Novell produces SUSE Linux Enterprise, and sponsors the openSUSE Linux distribution. In addition, the company created the NetWare operating system, and the GroupWise and Pulse collaboration products.

Novell also leads the development on a number of open source projects like Mono, which is an implementation of .NET for Linux, Windows and MacOS, and Evolution, which is an alternative to Microsoft Outlook.
