Guide to .Net Compact Framework

Microsoft .NET logoThe .NET Compact Framework is a version of the .NET Framework that is designed to be run on devices powered by Windows CE, such as PDAs, mobile phones and set top boxes. While the libraries in the .NET Compact Framework generally mirror those available in the .NET Framework, the two frameworks are not exactly the same: the libraries included in the .NET Compact Framework are designed to be run on small computing platforms.

.NET Compact applications can be created using Visual Studio versions 2003 and later, and can be written using the C# and VB.NET programming languages.
