Oddly enough, we were discussing technology on Google+ and I was in awe at how far we've come. While I grew up with computers, the computer I have far exceeds the ones I used in elementary and even my current system pales in comparison to what my friends have.

Kids today have pretty much grown up with technology, social media, social sharing, etc; for those of us in the generation X category, theGuide to Modern PCs evolution of modern PCs may make us seem old. Far exceeding that of what we used in elementary school or junior high, computers now are mobile, from laptops to smartphones to tablets; the graphics of video games are so realistic with diverse story telling, it feels as if you're watching a movie, not playing a video game.

And of course, there's the fact that we can watch movies, streamed directly from a website.

Here, we look at the evolution from the personal computer to the modern PC and all of it's components.
