Metroid Prime first launched on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. The game was not only a successful fusion between first-person and action-adventure games, but it provided a genuine Metroid experience. In 2004, Retro Studios and Nintendo did it all again with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and provided yet another campaign starring Samus Aran. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released in 2007 on Nintendo's current console, the Wii. Featuring solid motion controls and the same excellent gameplay from its predecessors, Metroid Prime 3 was once again a solid first-person action-adventure title. All three of the aforementioned titles were released on one compilation disc entitled Metroid Prime Trilogy.
